Day 1:  Vientiane Arrival
Vientiane (The City Of The Moon) is the largest city in Laos and its capital. The beautiful ancient city sits on the left bank of the Mekong River. Indochina Today Travel's Laos tour guide will meet you on your arrival and escort you to your hotel.
After check in we will take a short sightseeing trip of Vientiane, taking in some of the local favourites. The Religious Museum housed in the temple at Wat Sisaket, predates the Siamese war of 1828. It features the famous cloister, the wall of which features 6,840 ceramic and silver statues of the Buddha.
Wat Ho Prakeo is the former home of the Emerald Buddha but today it contains a collection of Buddha statues and antiquities. Pha That Luang, The Great Stupa, is a symbol of the Laos Nation. It is the single most important monument in the country. It was built to cover an original small Stupa which holds a section of the breastbone of Buddha.
Patouxy (The Triumphal Arch) was built between 1957 and 1968 and commemorates the dead of past conflicts. It has become one of the most famous landmarks of the city of Vientiane. Your Laos Tour then returns to your hotel to relax.

Day 2: Vientiane – Vang Vieng
After breakfast at the hotel, your Laos tour guide will collect you to begin the journey to Vang Vieng. As we leave the town, we drive through the Atacular countryside towards the mountains. We head out towards the 11th century archaeological site at Vang Xang. On the way we briefly call at Thalat to visit the colourful market. From there we make our way to the rapidly expanding village of Vang Vieng. Tourism has caused huge growth in this village but the surrounding areas remain as they were centuries ago. The first full day of your Laos trip can be spent strolling round the village, before you settle down at your overnight hotel..

Day 3: Vang Vieng – Luang Prabang 
The next day of your Laos holiday begins with breakfast at the hotel. We then head off to visit the famous cave of Tham Jang. This was used as a hideout from Chinese invaders and is of historic significance. We carry on through the village of Ban Huai Ngai into stunning mountain scenery. We will pass through Kasi and Phoukhoune and finally on to Luang Prabang. Claimed by UNESCO to be the “best preserved city in Southeast Asia”, its gleaming temples and colonial architecture have remained unchanged for years. Monks in traditional dress hurry about carrying umbrellas to shade themselves from the midday sun. You will stay overnight in this fascinating town courtesy of your Laos holiday package.

Day 4: Luang Prabang – Kuang Sii Fall 
We will take breakfast at the hotel. Then we will travel 30 Km out of town to the beautiful Kuang Sii waterfall where you can relax, swim or take a short stroll up to the top of the falls. On the return journey we make a short visit to the Black Hmong village. This ancient people originate from the mountainous regions of China, Vietnam, Thailand and of course Laos. We then return to the hotel to relax. We’ll stay overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 5 : Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave –fly Vientiane
We will have breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards we will take a cruise upstream on The Mekong River. This provides a different perspective to the wonderful surrounding countryside. From here we will visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. Which are crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Later we will stop off at the village of Ban Xanghai. Which is famous for its local rice wine. On the return journey we take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong village. Here the local people specialise in hand weaving and dyeing exquisite silk fabrics. 
Back to the Luang Prabang’s airport to take flight back to Vientiane.
Arrival Vientiane, welcome and transferred to hotel in Vientiane. Overnight there.

Day 6: Vietniane – Departure
In the morning you have free time at your hotel until your private car arrives for transfer to the airport. We wish you a safe journey and see you next time!
